Ten Atlas handhelds and one Library base station make a room: one film or one lesson on every screen, frame-locked, with the sound out loud, and the school wifi never touched. There are no student accounts because there are no accounts. Nothing to provision, nothing to consent to, no data leaving the room, and nothing for a district privacy review to lose sleep over.
The devices are made, flashed and repaired in Hamilton, Ontario, by the same people who teach with them at our own camps. This page is what a set costs, what to do with it on a Tuesday, and what happens when a unit misbehaves.
Enough for a class working in pairs, with the Library serving films, books, audiobooks, and whole course materials to every screen at once. Load your own curriculum onto its card and it is your curriculum, on their screens, with the internet out of the picture.
A complete first period, ready to run: power on, tour the modes, play head to head over Bluetooth, meet Mouse, and finish with the thing no other device in the school lets them do: updating their own firmware from a browser. Timed to 45 minutes, works in pairs, needs one laptop at the front.
The flagship game teaches programming as rules, not clicks: a mouse, a crumb, and a hundred proven levels. A class can run a chapter a week, and the levels are identical on every unit, so the whole room compares solutions to the same puzzle.
Ten pathways and thirty-seven badges, from a first 3D print to soldering a whole Atlas, each one a readable document with checkpoints. Passing means showing a person. The tree is printable as a wall poster for the classroom.
Its card holds course lessons and curriculums alongside the books and films. Documents read on every Atlas through the Reader, so a handout is loaded once and appears in thirty hands.
The whole routine is a powered USB hub, a browser, and the kids themselves.
Every Atlas is made in our Hamilton, Ontario storefront: designed, printed, assembled, flashed, taught and repaired at 162 Locke Street South, in recyclable materials we source Canadian when we can, around hand-assembled electronics. For boards with domestic-supplier preferences, Atlas qualifies as few devices in this category can.
Student work lives on the unit in the hand, and course material lives on a card the teacher owns. There are no accounts, no cloud and no telemetry, so the devices cannot collect what they have no way to send, and there is nothing here for a district review to find.
Open-source firmware, printable shells, and a manufacturer with a street address. Units are repaired, reflashed and reprinted rather than replaced, and the platform updates free from a browser.
